sealing up special moments with a flower offering

December 03, 2024

One of the ways we love to seal up special moments is with a flower offering.

This has been a big month for us and it felt good to celebrate last week at the ocean in Santa Monica.

Our first collective trip back to California in 7 years, we had over 300 one-on-one conversations with people in four days.

We hosted two lotuswei events, offered sessions & met up with friends & family.

We asked over 200 people to make wishes and toss petals into an aqua-colored pool at a press and influencer event.

We soft-launched our new website in India and made synchronistic connections.

At the end of our stay, we hauled thousands of rose petals, marigolds, carnations and daisies to the seaside (including the wished-upon petals we scooped out of the pool!).

It was a misty sort of day, and when we turned around to see where we came from, we noticed a massive rainbow, from end to end!

We looked out over the ocean with the rainbow to our back and exclaimed in glee when we spotted a huge pod of dolphins swimming and playing to the front of us.

All of us kneeled down on the sand and offered our prayers and dedications. It felt so good to acknowledge and empower each individual and collective wish!

We grabbed handfuls of petals, ran to the water’s edge and flung them into the sky and the ocean.

We leapt and skipped across the beach – sheer joy arose in each of us!

I share this because we’ve entered a time when we spend more time with family and friends. We reflect on what we’re grateful for.

We look at our life and what we want more of. We nourish ourselves. And create special moments with those we love.

To seal up a special moment, deepen in your relationships with loved ones, or to get down on your knees, surrender and make a prayer for yourself and humanity, how about a flower offering?

Close your eyes, make a heartfelt wish or prayer, feel it in your body.

Open your eyes, let your inner child toss the petals in the air, knowing you’ve been heard.

Toss them in the nearest body of water, on the snow, into the forest or out the window.

It’s so good to be human.

Much love from all of us,
Katie
