FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT FLOWER ESSENCES:

Flower elixirs are liquid infusions of fresh flowers. They consist of water that contains the bioenergetic imprint of the flowers. This energetic imprint travels through the acupuncture meridians, like an acupuncture treatment without the needles.

Historically, these types of flower remedies are called flower essences. They do not have a scent. To avoid confusion with aromatherapy and essential oils, we have always referred to them as flower elixirs.

When taken internally or applied externally, flower elixirs work through the acupuncture meridians to shift our state of mind, often within minutes, with an exponential effect over time.

Traditionally flower elixirs are taken internally {like a tincture}. In addition to the traditional internal flower elixirs, we also create mists, serums and anointing oils. These offerings are infused with both flower essences and aromatherapeutic essential oils, so they will have a scent.

After many years of research and personal experience, I discovered the external use of flower elixirs is just as effective as taking them internally, as long as they’re used with the same level of frequency: five times each day.

If you're unsure of whether to start with an elixir, mist, serum or anointing oil, we always recommend whichever will be easiest for you to use five times a day!

In the short term, you start to experience less irritation. Everything’s smoother. The stress dissolves. You sleep more soundly. Any strong emotions get softer and lesser.

Long term: your inner landscape changes, and your outer landscape starts to reflect that new reality back to you. You may get out of relationships that don’t work, form new ones that do, start new career paths or even do things you used to be afraid of.

Different from aromatherapy, flower essences don’t have a scent and they work through the acupuncture meridians. It is a liquid infusion of a flower or plant’s ‘chi’ or life-force, whereas an essential oil is distilled or extracted from the plant into a highly aromatic oil.

Whereas essential oils require huge amounts of plant material for distillation, only a small amount of blooms are required for making flower elixirs, making it one of the most sustainable forms of natural remedies.

The only difference is modality of application. Each form contains the same amount of power or potency! Some may think that taking something internally will work faster than using something topically. What will work best for you boils down to the modality that you will be inspired to use most in your daily life.

For the most tangible and noticeable results, use your elixir, mist, serum, or anointing oil {or combination} a minimum of 5 times a day. If you are using it at least five times every day, typically within 3-5 days you will notice a significant shift in your state of mind.

Absolutely! Multiple flower essences will work together to best benefit your state of being. If you want to pinpoint the results from a particular flower elixir, we recommend starting with only that one so you can track the specific results more easily!

If you are taking the 5 drops/5x a day, one elixir bottle will typically last about 3-4 weeks.

Single and combination flower elixirs are equally effective, but they work in slightly different ways.

Combination flower elixirs (blend of several flower essences) target an issue from many angles, as they work synergistically to enhance a particular state of mind.

For example, in Quiet Mind, there are flowers for physical tension, monkey mind, not being able to let go and going on overdrive. With one product and several flowers, we address many of the reasons why people can’t sleep. Combination blends are also more likely to create noticeable effects immediately, often within minutes or days.

On the other hand, because each flower has its own unique specialty, single flower elixirs can target very specific patterns. The effects of single flower elixirs are often more subtle, yet they go deeper, hitting the bullseye ~ opening up boxes inside you, dissolving self-limiting patterns and bringing out the real you! While it may take longer to discern the shifts taking place, the effects can be profound.

If you are working with flower elixirs for the first time, or unsure where to start, we typically recommend beginning with one of the combination blends, both for their more easily noticed effects, and that they rarely result in healing crises, which seem to be more common with single elixirs.

The main difference between the Anointing Oil and the Balancing Serum is going to be:

A) The scent strength. The concentration of the essential oil blend in the Anointing Oils is higher, and meant to be used as a natural perfume (wears off after 1-2hrs). The concentration of the essential oil blend in the Serums is quite light, with the scent wearing off shortly after use.

B) The application style + size. The Anointing Oil comes in a 5mL bottle with a roller ball application for use on the pulse points (like a perfume). The Balancing Serum comes in a 50mL bottle with a pump, and is intended for use like a massage oil, moisturizer, etc.

The essential oil blend and flower essences used are going to be the same across the formulas (ie, Quiet Mind Anointing Oil and Quiet Mind Serum will have the same scent and effects).

When a flower elixir targets a pattern that is deep-seated, invisible to us or ripe for change, it is possible that for a brief period we feel the exact opposite of what we think we should feel. The flower elixir may be showing us what has been preventing us from developing the quality that it imparts by amplifying our awareness of what's in the way.

This is sometimes referred to as a 'healing crisis' - read more on this experience here.

Almost everything on our shop is vegan! However, all of our ingestible elixirs contain ethically sourced honey.

In addition, the entire Infinite Love collection contains beeswax absolute (a distillation from beeswax).

Every bar of Wei of Chocolate is also made with vegan ingredients & ethical cacao. It is also organic, paleo, keto, dairy-free, soy-free, gluten free and non-gmo.

No animals are ever harmed in the making of ANY flower essence or chocolate.

As long as they are kept away from extreme heat and direct sunlight, the shelf-life of the products is several years.

We use natural preservatives to stabilize all of our flower essence-infused elixirs & oils:
Elixirs
~ organic grape alcohol is a natural preservative
Anointing Oils ~ Jojoba oil base is extremely shelf stable
Serums ~ Vitamin E is a natural preservative

The Mists are shelf stable for a year. And we find that people love them so much, they use 'em up quickly!

For the chocolate, if you keep it stored in a cool & dark room, it is shelf stable for two years. If it is stored in a place where the temperature is above 78 degrees for more than 4 months, the chocolate could bloom. This just means that the cocoa butter will rise to the surface of the chocolate. It isn't spoiled & it's still okay to eat -- it will just be cosmetically & texturally less appealing. If this happens, just add it into chocolate chip cookies or pancakes!

Our flower elixirs are hand-collected from special places around the world—from sacred sites in India to luscious botanical gardens in Singapore to vast landscapes in Iceland—and more.

Our formulations are completely free of artificial fragrances, phthalates, synthetics & harmful chemicals. Aside from using flower remedies that we personally collect, we use only essential oils that are sourced from farmers that grow certified organic crops of flowers, plants and trees and distill oil from petals, leaves, seeds and roots.

To preserve the living quality of the flower essences, we use European ultraviolet glass bottles. Put flowers in a bottle as a bud vase and you’ll see they last much longer.

We also do our own packaging in the USA!

SAFETY OF FLOWER ESSENCES

Like homeopathic remedies, flower elixirs are diluted several times after the original collection of the ‘mother essence.’ For this reason even people with severe allergies can use flower elixirs safely. The final dilution no longer has any plant parts in it - only the energetic imprint, or essence, of the flower.

Yes! We have many happy parents reporting wonderful results. Please note, the elixirs should not be given to children under 1 year of age due to the honey content. That said, breastfeeding mothers can take the elixirs and pass the benefits on to little ones that way.

Yes! You can put five drops of elixir into your hand and let your pets lick the elixir from your hand, or add drops to their water bowl (make sure you change the water daily). You can also mist them lightly on their back & pet them.
